Igår la jag upp två bilder från tidningen GQ, det var Robrt som var med i den.

“Everybody came in doing something empty and shallow and thoughtless,” Stewart says. “I know that’s a f-cking great thing to say about all the other actors—but Rob understood that it wasn’t a frivolous role.”

Hardwicke still had to convince Summit Entertainment, the studio bankrolling Twilight, that Pattinson was the guy.

“There was a call from the head of the studio,” Hardwicke says. “ ‘Are you sure you can make this guy handsome?’ ”

They sent him to a trainer, dyed his hair and cut it. Pattinson immersed himself in the lore—the novels and Midnight Sun, Meyer’s unpublished, unfinished retelling of Twilight from Edward’s point of view. (“I was a vampire, and she had the sweetest blood I’d smelled in eighty years.”) He showed up to shoot the movie with a lot of ideas about how it could be more than a horror-tinged tween romance. How Edward could be less like the turtlenecked Prince Charming from the novels—“If you met a guy like that in real life,” he says, “you’d think he was kind of dorky”—and more like the edgy dude burning himself with cigarettes in the corner at the high school party. Less hottie, more monster. He thought that at the end of the movie, when Edward and Bella slow-dance to Iron & Wine on prom night, they shouldn’t kiss. “I thought that would be interesting,” he says, “for a teen thing.”

Q:Did you go to your prom?

A:I didn't go to my own senior prom but I went to the prom of my boyfriend at the time. My high school sweetheart, I went to his senior prom. That was really fun.

Q:Do you remember what you wore?

A:I do actually. I wore this amazing gold dress but it was a little risqué, so my mom was like, "You have to wear something like a scarf or else your dad isn’t going to let you out of the house." My dad would've been like, "No way," because the neckline plunged. But it was tight, so nothing was falling out. The whole thing was just gold sequins all the way down, but it was like a shade between a lighter gold and bronze. I fell in love with it. I bought it myself because my mom was like, "I'm not buying that for you." I said, "Fine, I'll buy it myself." I did my hair in a kind of...almost like a goddess hairstyle with a bunch of little ringlets and headband to match it. It was really pretty. I had so much fun.

Q:Since you paid for it yourself, were you acting back then, or did you have like a part-time job after school or babysitting money to help save for it?

A:I worked at a place called Copelands. I loved it. My friends were like, "Dude, you're always working." So, yeah, that paid for it.

Q:What song makes you want to dance whenever you hear it?

A:I love Lil' Wayne. Pretty much like any Lil' Wayne song gets me amped.

Jag låg och läste igår och jag kunde inte lägga boken ifrån mig jag tänkte "Bara fem minuter till", så tänkte jag hela tiden.

Så till slut fick jag bara tvinga mig att lägga den ifrån mig!
